- Our theme for the month of May is “Spring Forward with God!” The scripture reference is taken from Isaiah 43:19 and it reads as such:
Isaiah 43:19 – Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
- We want to remind you of opportunities to continue your worship experience throughout the week:
- Join in for our bi-weekly prayer conference calls on Mondays from 6:00 p.m.-6:30 p.m. The conference call number is 605-472-5360, Access code 326031.
- Join for our corporate fast on Tuesday from 6:00 a.m. through 6:00 p.m.
- Join us for Bible study on Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m. held in the main sanctuary and streamed on the church’s website.
- Join us in the main sanctuary on Sunday mornings for prayer service beginning at 10:30 a.m. through 10:50 a.m.
- Join us for Friday night prayer services every 1st and 3rd Friday, starting at 7:00 p.m.
- Children’s church is held on the second, third and fourth Sundays of each month.
UPCOMING EVENTS
- May 30th The LOVE Ministry will host its quarterly meeting. The meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m. and conclude at 12:00 p.m. We anticipate having a power packed experience of prayer unto God and receiving mana from heaven as we come together in one mind and on one accord in the Lord. In preparation for the meeting, we are asking all women to fast for the 1st meal of the day for the seven days leading up to the meeting starting on May 23rd. Be mindful that for some, the first meal may be lunch. Please invite other ladies you know to join us in this experience with the Lord. We look forward to seeing you there!
- Save the date for this year’s Vacation Bible School (VBS). Dates are July 13th – July 17th. Registration will begin June 1st. The first joint planning meeting will take place on Sunday, May 31 at 1:30 p.m. here at SECF. We are still in need of volunteers to help teach, set up, serve, be a part of recovery efforts each evening and more. Please consider signing up to be a part of the support committee with Dr. First Lady. We look forward to having a fantastic VBS this year! Thank you in advance for your participation and support.
- Save the date for our 2026 Annual Women Conference to be held September 17th – September 20th. This year we have a Paint, Praise and Pray Workshop on Saturday, September 19th. The cost is $35 per adult, $20 per child. Payment plans have already started and will be managed via cash app or electronic payment options. Plans start at as little as $7 per month; however, the full amount can be paid at any time. Please indicate on the envelope or in the memo section that your payment is going towards the “Paint and Pray Workshop.” The payment deadline is September 1st. Please notify Sister Barbara Roberson if you plan to participate in the prepayment plan or if you wish to pay in full to ensure your funds are appropriately allocated to this event.
