- For the month of March, we are completing our theme which was to March by Faith. The scripture reference is taken from 2 Corinthians 5:7, and it reads as such:
2 Corinthians 5:7 – For we walk by faith, not by sight.
- Our theme for the month of April will be “Wise men still seek Him”. The scripture reference is taken from Matthew 2:1-2 and it reads as such:
Matthew 2: 1 – Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, 2- Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.
- We want to remind you of opportunities to continue your worship experience throughout the week:
- Join in for our bi-weekly prayer conference calls on Mondays from 6:00 p.m.-6:30 p.m. The conference call number is 605-472-5360, Access code 326031.
- Join in for our corporate fast this week starting on Wednesday April 1, through Friday, April 3, beginning at 6:00 a.m. and concluding at 6:00 p.m. each day.
- Join us for Bible study on Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m. held in the main sanctuary and streamed on the church’s website. This week bible study will be suspended for Tuesday, March 31st , and will resume on Tuesday, April 7th.
- Join us in the main sanctuary on Sunday mornings for prayer service beginning at 10:30 a.m. through 10:50 a.m.
- Join us for Friday night prayer services every 1st and 3rd Friday, starting at 7:00 p.m.
- Children’s church is held on the second, third and fourth Sundays of each month.
UPCOMING EVENTS
- April 2 – Maundy Thursday – We will have a special communion service starting at 7:00 p.m. Maundy Thursday is also known as Holy Thursday, it is the day before Good Friday. It commemorates Jesus Christ’s last supper and the initiation of the Holy Communion. We are requesting that everyone wear all black.
- April 3 – Good Friday – We will commemorate the seven last sayings of Christ. Service will start at 7:00 p.m.
These services will be combined with the Holy Sanctuary and possibly two other churches.
- April 10 – The next leadership meeting will be held at 6:00 p.m. and will be held in the Fellowship Hall. Leaders, please plan to attend.
- April 12 – We will host the church’s annual business meeting immediately following the morning service. Please come out and learn about the church’s mission and vision for 2026. Light refreshments will be served. We have also prepared a survey which we ask each one to complete. We are interested in getting your opinion on what we are doing good, what we can do better, and if you have suggestions for improvements. Surveys are available in the vestibule, and we ask that you return them prior to the business meeting. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
- Apri 12 – There will be a meeting immediately following service for all baptismal candidates. If anyone is interested in being baptized, please reach out to Barbara Roberson.
- April 18 – the Men’s fellowship will be held at the Denny’s Restaurant located at 4445 Benning Road, NE, in Washington DC 20019. Please arrive no later than 10:00 a.m. All men are invited to attend.
- April 19 – Baptism will be held at the Pennsylvania Avenue Baptist Church immediately following service.
- April 25 – The Pastor and the church have been invited to participate in the 1st Anniversary of Fountain of Faith Apostolic Church at 12:00 noon, located at 10729 Tucker Street in Beltsville, MD. Pastor Hammiel will be one of the guest speakers. Please come out and support our Paster. A flyer will be available in the vestibule with the details of the event.
- April 25 – SAVE THE DATE – the next LOVE Ministry quarterly meeting will be held at 10:00 a.m. The theme will be: “Healed and Delivered”. Group 2 be on the lookout for a text from Dr. First Lady with further details.
- Please help us keep the sanctuary clean by refraining from drinking and eating in the main sanctuary and the vestibule. Please help keep the worship space clean and respectful. Thank you for your cooperation.
