April 12th Announcements

April 12, 2026

  • Our theme for the month of April is “Wise men still seek Him”. The scripture reference is taken from Matthew 2:1-2 and it reads as such:

Matthew 2: 1 – Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold there came wise men from the east to  Jerusalem, 2- Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.

UPCOMING EVENTS

  • April 12 – We will host the church’s annual business meeting immediately following the morning service. Please come out and learn about the church’s mission and vision for 2026.  Light refreshments will be served. We have also prepared a survey which we ask each one to complete.  We are interested in getting your opinion on what we are doing good, what we can do better, and if you have suggestions for improvements. Surveys are available in the vestibule, and we ask that you return them prior to the business meeting.  Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
  • Apri 12 – There will be a meeting immediately following service for all baptismal candidates. If anyone is interested in being baptized, please reach out to Barbara Roberson.
  • April 17 – Rehearsals for children interested in participating in Youth and Young adult Sundays (which will be the 4th Sunday of each month starting in May) will begin Friday, April 17th at 8:30 p.m. immediately after the prayer meeting.  Rehearsals will take place each month immediately after prayer meetings on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of the month and will be ongoing as children learn songs and key roles to participate meaningfully in 4th Sunday services.  Parents with interested children see Dr First Lady or Sister Jaime to sign up.
  • April 18 – The Men’s fellowship will be held at the Denny’s Restaurant located at 4445 Benning Road, NE, in Washington DC 20019.  Please arrive no later than 10:00 a.m.  All men are invited to attend.

  • May 30 – The 2nd LOVE Ministry quarterly meeting has been moved from April 25th to May 30thin support of our Pastor’s speaking engagement at the Fountain of Faith Apostolic Church. This means the Prayer Breakfast and second quarterly meetings are now happening on the same day.  This joint meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m. and conclude at 12:00 p.m.  We anticipate having a power packed experience of prayer unto God and receiving mana from heaven as we come together in one mind and on one accord in the Lord.  Please invite other ladies you know to join us in this experience with the Lord.  We look forward to seeing you there!
  • Save the date for this year’s VBS. Dates are July 13th – July 17th. The first planning meeting will take place in May. Please be on the lookout for details coming soon concerning the upcoming meetings.
